Chamomile for Eczema? It Works!
Chamomile is known for its calming and healing properties when you drink it. But a recent study shows it can heal even topical wounds too. Eczema and other skin rashes can heal when using chamomile the right way. Chamomile has 2 anti-oxidants called polyphenols and flavonoids which preserve cell structure and minimize damage to ‘wounded cells’.

Naturopaths in Israel and around the world recommend using chamomile flowers or the essence obtained from it in a bath or a compress on the inflammation, wound burn or skin irritations including eczema and psoriasis.

How do you use it?

You can buy chamomile flowers in plant nurseries or natural health food stores as dried flowers or in tea bags in supermarkets. If you choose tea bags you should soak them in your warm bath 10 minutes before you enter the bath. This treatment is also very successful in treating a baby’s diaper rash.

For foot eczema you can make a foot bath consisting of 10 drops of almond oil, 10 drops of German chamomile oil (found in health food stores and pharmacies) and soak your feet in the hot bath for 15-20 minutes.
