Yom Kippur - Taking a Pill

For someone who must take medicine - with doctor's orders -  each night the same time before bed,  how can he to take care of this on Yom Kippur?

To the Questioner,

One may swallow a pill on Yom Kippur and it is not considered eating since it is not ingested in the usual way of eating and there is no enjoyment involved.
If one needs to drink a little liquid in order to help swallow the pill, he should prepare water before Yom Kippur  that has a bitter taste and that he will not have any enjoyment from - for example, to leave a tea bag in hot water for a long time, and then he shouldn't add any sugar afterwards - and then he can drink from that on Yom Kippur just what he needs in order to swallow the pill.

With blessings,
