Avner Netanyahu Lays Tefillin on Mount Herzl in Front of a Large Crowd

Avner, the son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was seen wearing tefillin today at a Chabad stand at the entrance to Mount Herzl, in honor of Israel's Memorial Day.
Rabbi Menachem Mendel Levkowsky, the director of the Chabad House in Jerusalem's Bayit Vegan neighborhood, set up the stand to put on tefillin for thousands of Jews who visited the site today, including senior officials.
Avner, who is known to study Torah and is close to Judaism, put on tefillin in front of a large crowd, making a tremendous Kiddush Hashem.
The last time he was seen wearing tefillin in public was six years ago, during his visit to China. “The Tefillin remind us every morning who created the world, and before whom we stand,” Avner explained to the astonished bystander who wanted to understand what he was doing and what exactly was he wearing on his arm.
