Difficulty in finding a match for a divorcee

About four and a half years ago I divorced, at my husband’s request. Before the divorce I went to a rabbi who asked me to buy a lock, lock it and throw it into the sea and asked me to read a prayer. Can there be a connection between this and the fact that I can not find a potential partner for so long? Also, I can not find the Ketuba to tear it up. What is recommended to do in this case?

These two things are not important and are not preventing you from finding a mate.

May G-d help you to quickly find your soul-mate.
