A gentile coming for a Rosh Hashana meal

29.08.18

Question

I wanted to invite a gentile to eat with us on Rosh Hashana. Is there some law concerning the festival meals I should be careful about?

Answer

To the Questioner,

On the festivals one may not invite gentiles to one’s home. This is out of the concern that one will end up cooking for them, and it is forbidden to cook for a gentile during the festivals.
