Does God love me?
I have some questions that really bother me: I believe that the Creator of the world exists!! I think I have the right reasons to believe but first, I'm looking for a real answer of why He really loves me! How can I know He really loves me? That He really wants what is best for me? I do not believe in intuition on this matter. It’s true that He created me and is good to me, but is that reason enough to prove that He loves me? If He would kill any person who does a sin, then the world would have emptied out a long time ago of people. Maybe we can rationalize that if the world was empty, He would be bored? Another thing: How am I to know that He is humble? How can you assume that when there are Biblical commandments to thank Him by reciting Grace After Meals? If we compare the matter to humans, a man who would punish me for not thanking him for the meal he gave me; or even less than that, he would ask me to tell him thanks for some good he did to me, I surely would not call him a humble person!! Even more, the first commandment is “I am the Almighty your G-d!” How can one explain that as humility? Or take a look at "Do not take My Name in vain." How can I view as humble someone who commanded me not to call Him by His Name?? Thanks in advance! By the way, it’s important for me to note that the questions do not come from a place of defiance, but I am truly looking for an answer.
