The Cutting of the Omer
Dear Rabbi, I'm studying presenting the Omer offering and have some questions. I hope you can answer (some of) them. Just after sunset before the Omer offering it was harvested by 3 men, during a cheerful ceremony. Why 3? Where there 3 sheafs? Is there any significance in it being 3 instead of another number? It's my understanding that on the day the paschal lamb was prepared the above mentioned sheaves where bound/tied while still in the ground. At what time of the day was that done? Just after sunrise, noon, just before sunset? Another time? Last question, before those sheaves were bound they were selected. Was that selection done on the day the sheaves were bound or X days before that?

Question: On Leil Haseder we made two brachot, on Matzah, Hamotzi and Al Achilat Matzah. When I told my friend, he said it was Shulchan Aruch bracha Levatala and I didn’t make a bracha Rishona the whole Pesach. Is he right?
