Question About the Torah
The Torah discusses working for a living on many occasions. Why do so many religious people learn Torah instead of working? Adam and Eve toiled for a living; they didn’t sit and learn Torah full-time.
Unfortunately many girls, some who are more religious, some less permit themselves to wear skirts above the knee (3 cm. and more). The phenomenon has become widespread lately and I have no idea who permitted them to do this. My question is: In cases like this are pants preferable over skirts?
How should one respond to someone who says that Maimonides worked for his living?
Hello, I wanted to know how to respond to someone who denigrates Torah scholars who are devoting themselves to their studies and says instead that they should be like Maimonides who studied Torah but also worked. This is a claim that I hear a lot from the public who does not appreciate Torah scholars. When they bring up the fact that Maimonides was a doctor, I don’t know what to say. I personally appreciate Torah scholars and know that the world exists in their merit, and if I could support even one yeshiva scholar, I would be thrilled that I had a part in his Torah (I know that a non-religious Jew wouldn’t understand this). But I would like to be able to at least give an answer on the subject of Maimonides. Thank you.
How can the Torah be true? There are some contradictions!
The Torah is full of contradictions, for instance, the flood. There isn’t enough water in the world to make a deluge in half the world. How did the animals come to Noah? How did they have food to eat? How could the Ark hold such heavy cargo? How did they have room for the millions of animal species? And many other questions like these. And do not say it was a miracle; I'm not interested in all sorts of crooked answers. I just want to know the Torah’s simple meaning. If you can not answer, then the Torah is refuted. Thank you.
Shalom, Is it same God in old tastement and God in new tastement? Please forgive me if i ask this question, all i want to know is about a truth. I really want to know about God in old tastement. Thankyou
