Why is an unmarried woman forbidden to go to the ritual bath (mikvah)?
Is the prohibition for unmarried women to go to the ritual bath because they become “too pure” and in this sensitive situation they may attract angels of destruction or accusers of all kinds that will harm them? Hello, I have been married now for 20 years and I have been using an IUD (birth control device) for a number of years. As a result, I barely have any bleeding during the time of my period. Yesterday and today, a few brown spots showed up – should I observe the laws of Nida and go and bathe in the Mikvah (I should point out that before I began using the IUD, I was observing family purity and would regularly visit the Mikvah).

I'm a marriage Counselor in Spring Valley and I have the following question which comes up alot: Can a woman postpone going to the Mikvah becuase of a serious fight the couple is in? Can a woman say "I'm not able to go to the mikvah presently?"
