Shuva Yisrael communities around the world rejoiced together upon receiving word of the engagement of Rabbi Yoel Pinto shlit”a, eldest son of Hagaon Harav Yoshiyahu Pinto shlit”a, Chief Rabbi and Av Beis Din of Morocco and director of Shuva Yisrael yeshivos and institutes around the world.
The delighted father Hagaon Harav Yoshiyahu Pinto shlit”a announced the great simchah at the start of his shiur, “With joyful hearts, we have merited celebrating the engagement of my son Rav Yoel with a wonderful family. Invei hagefen b’invei hagefen.
“The couple first met exactly eight days ago, on Rav Yoel’s twentieth birthday, and concluded today, which was the day of his bris. Exactly twenty years have passed, and it should be a good sign and with mazal tov for all of Shuva Yisrael.”
Later in the course of his shiur, the Chief Rabbi mentioned, “Baruch Hashem, Rav Yoel is engaged with mazal tov and we are overjoyed and pray that Hashem shall complete their home and fill it with brachah and simchah. The bride, whose family dwells in France, is blessed with outstanding character traits and attributes, and her family is deeply involved in chessed projects and good deeds, constantly seeking to help others.”
Rabbi Yoel Pinto shlit”a, eldest son of Harav Yoshiyahu Pinto shlit”a, is a great-grandson of the Baba Meir and Baba Sali and scion of the illustrious Pinto family. He is known to all as ‘Rabbi Yoel,’ and his reputation precedes him as an outstanding talmid chacham and maggid shiur who teaches Torah to members of the Shuva Yisrael community.
