Hello Rabbi,
Is it permissible to extinguish the Chanukah candles after half an hour?
My husband and I are going out, and I am concerned that a fire might ignite due to the strong winds, even though the menorah is inside the house.
I would appreciate an answer.

Hello,
It is permissible to extinguish the menorah after half an hour. Nevertheless, it is advisable to stipulate in advance that you are not allocating any of the oil except for the duration of half an hour of lighting.
