Prayer and Blessings
Is it Permissible to Recite the Morning Blessings Before Dawn?
Question
Greetings, I apologize for asking again as I have not yet received a response... A. I wake up early, thank God. Is it possible to recite all the morning blessings before dawn (except for "who gives understanding to the rooster"), including the Shema, until "Hashem, open my lips," and at dawn immediately say "who gives understanding to the rooster" and begin the Shmoneh Esreh prayer? Is there an issue if I perform activities between these prayers and blessings and the Shmoneh Esreh? B. My husband usually goes to the pool in the morning before synagogue to swim and shower before prayer. He says it helps him prepare for prayer. Is this permitted from a halachic perspective? Best regards and thank you in advance, Hadas
Answer
Hello and blessings
A. Yes.
B. This should not be done before prayer. However, if he feels that this is the only way he can pray, there is room for leniency.
