Is It Permissible to Work on the Morning of Erev Yom Kippur?

Hello, I wanted to ask whether it is allowed to work on the morning of Erev Yom Kippur (before the fast begins)? If I am strongly required to work for fear of being fired, is it a good solution to work and donate the money I earn for that day? If so, where does the rabbi recommend I donate the money? Thank you very much, I would appreciate a prompt answer, and have a good sealing.

Hello,
According to the law, it is permissible to work on the morning of Erev Yom Kippur, but there is no sign of blessing in that money (Chazon Ovadia, Yamim Noraim, page 242), and if there is a fear of being fired - you may work without concern.
