Is it permissible to pray Mincha after sunset?
Question
Hello esteemed Rabbi, is it permissible in a time of need to pray Mincha 25 minutes after sunset or is it preferable to pray 2 Ma'ariv? Thank you, Shay
Answer
Hello,
Ideally, one should pray the Mincha service before sunset. In cases where one did not manage to pray in time, it is permitted to pray Mincha only until 13 and a half minutes after sunset.
