The Name Adiah for a Daughter
Question
Greetings, my husband and I are considering the name Adiah, and since Adiah was a man of the Torah, is this name good and suitable for a girl? We have a daughter named Yael.

Indeed, the name "Adiah" is mentioned in the Bible as the name of a man (2 Kings 22:1, 1 Chronicles 6:26, 8:21, 9:12, Ezra 10:29-39, and Nehemiah 11:5, 11:12), and therefore, although it is currently accepted as a name for a woman, if possible, it is preferable to find another name that originally appears as a name for a woman.
