Final Blessing After Eating Two Dates

Hello, honored Rabbi!
1. I was told that the Gemara states that before the coming of Mashiach there will be a very difficult war, and most of the Jewish people will not remain, meaning they will not merit the coming of Mashiach. Is this true?
2. What final blessing do we recite after eating two dates? I would appreciate a prompt response.

1. It is true that the war of Gog and Magog will be very difficult; however, there is no source that states that most of the Jewish people will not merit the coming of Mashiach.
2. If they weigh at least a kezait, which is 27 grams, one should recite the blessing of me'en shalosh - the blessing for fruits from the tree.
