Regarding whether it is halachically permitted to read Shir HaShirim at night

May Shir HaShirim be read late in the evening? If not, until what time may it be read on a weekday?

Hello,
As a matter of halacha, it is permitted to read Shir HaShirim at any hour of the day. However, according to Kabbalah, it is preferable not to read it at night. On Shabbat night and on Yom Tov, there is no concern even according to Kabbalah (as explained in Yabia Omer, part 6, Orach Chaim, siman 30).
