Final Blessing on Rice
Question
Hello! I recently heard that for rice we recite the first blessing of “Mezonot” and the final blessing “Borei Nefashot”. According to the sign: Amen: Rice - Mezonot - Nefashot. Is this correct? If so, what final blessing do we say for rice cakes? Thank you very much in advance for your answer.

1. Indeed, for rice we say the first blessing of “Mezonot” and the final blessing of “Borei Nefashot” (see Shulchan Aruch and Rema, Orach Chaim, siman 202, se'if 7, and Biur Halacha there, d"h ad).
2. However, for rice cakes, the blessing is “the ground (ha'adamah)” - see this link.
And the final blessing is “Borei Nefashot”.
