What Should Be Prayed After the Time for Prayer or After Midday?

AA

Question

Hello, esteemed Rabbi. Sometimes I wake up late, and I wanted to know which parts of Shacharit I should recite if I woke up after the time for prayer and if I woke up after midday?

Answer

Hello and blessings

After the time for prayer and until midday, one prays all of Shacharit, and there are those who say not to recite the blessings of the Shema and the blessings of Baruch She'amar and Yishtabach.

After midday, it is no longer possible to pray Shacharit; one recites the morning blessings and prays Mincha twice, and should also recite the Shema, Ashrei, and the Song at the Sea.

With blessings,

Binyamin Shmueli
