Why are we called a holy nation?

After all, we are not gentiles... And one more question: Hashem yischak lahem... what does that mean?

Shalom u'vracha,
The literal meaning of the word goy is nation, and therefore we are a goy kadosh - a holy nation.
This is the wording of the verse
(4) One seated in heaven laughs; Hashem mocks them - Hashem laughs at the gentiles who want to wage war against the Messiah.
