Did my sin count?

AA

Question

A situation occurred in which I could not restrain myself, and I went to release semen in vain before I reached ejaculation. A clear fluid came out, and at that moment, after a few seconds, I stopped and overcame the urge. Now I have a question: does that clear fluid count as semen released in vain, since as it became clear to me, it is a small amount of semen, and I am afraid that I have sinned?

Answer

Hello and blessings

On the one hand, you are to be commended, and fortunate indeed, for having merited to restrain yourself and overcome the evil inclination at the very last moment. Although it is indeed possible that a small amount of semen came out in the fluid of ejaculation, and certainly teshuva is needed for this, still, your very overcoming at the last moment is an enormous and very great virtue, and certainly the very stopping of the sin at the last moment serves as atonement for the sin that preceded it, in the temptation of the evil inclination.

May Hashem give you the strength to guard yourself more and more from sin and to overcome the evil inclination completely, with Hashem's help.

Be strong and courageous, and may Hashem help you continue to rise higher and higher, with Hashem's help.

Success,

Binyamin Shmueli
