Shared Showers for Parents and Children

AA

Question

Hello

I wanted to ask what the halachic guidelines are regarding shared showers between a parent and child of the same sex and of different sexes (mother and son)

Up to what age is it possible to do this, if at all?

And if possible, I would like to understand the reasons behind this

Answer

Hello and blessings

Shared showers of two different sexes should not be done from about age two.

Children of the same sex may do so until age 7/8, depending on the child's understanding and development.

With blessings,

Binyamin Shmueli
