Hello Rabbi, I was asked whether duck is kosher? This question arose following reports that religiously observant individuals have claimed to eat duck meat (specifically duck and not goose) here in the land.

Indeed, duck is a kosher bird. There are some breeds of duck that do not have tradition, and the custom is to refrain from eating them.
