Name for a Daughter

AA

Question

Hello, esteemed Rabbi,
I am currently in my fifth month of pregnancy and we are expecting a daughter.
My partner's name is Elior, my name is Lior, and our firstborn son, who is nine months old, is named Rafael. Selecting a name is very important to me, and I am looking for a name based on several criteria..
It is very important to me that the name has a minimum of four letters both in Hebrew and in English, that it does not have a negative connotation religiously, that the initial letters of the name do not form a negative word with the initial letters of our names, and that the name is unequivocally a girl’s name. As of now, we are considering the name Yasmin. Is it a good name for a daughter? I would love to hear suggestions for a name that you think would fit my criteria.

Answer

Hello and blessings

The name Yasmin is acceptable. Please see a recommended list of names here—perhaps you will connect with one of them.

Wishing you a healthy pregnancy and an easy delivery in its time,

Benjamin Shmuali
