Life Is Forever, Death Is Temporary: Redefining What It Means to Die

Rabbi Manis Friedman

This talk challenges the usual way we think about death, arguing that life doesn’t “end” — only the soul’s allotted time in the body does. Through two powerful stories of grief turned into renewed purpose, it explains why the soul remains alive, why relationships continue beyond passing, and why mitzvot (especially tzedakah) matter so much for those who’ve left this world. Real life is relationship between souls and with God, that continues and ultimately reaches its fullest expression with the end of exile and the coming of Mashiach.
