The breathtaking images from the recent Artemis II mission stirred memories of the famous Apollo 8 “Earthrise” photograph — and inspired a powerful spiritual reflection. Looking at Earth suspended in the vast darkness of space makes it easier to grasp the meaning of the Shema: that Hashem is not only the creator of our world, but the Master of the entire universe and beyond.
