According to the U.S. military, "this is a blatant violation of the ceasefire." In addition, at least five drones were launched toward a U.S. military vessel operating to help civilian ships pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The hostile aircraft were intercepted.
Kuwait's Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the "Iranian attacks targeting Kuwaiti territory with missiles and drones. This is a dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, as well as a direct threat to the lives of civilians and vital infrastructure."
The ministry also said that it "confirms that this escalation comes at a time when focused efforts are being made by several countries to reduce tensions, calm the situation, and spare the region further escalation. This harms diplomatic efforts aimed at preserving regional security and stability. The ministry demands that Iran immediately and unconditionally stop the attacks. Kuwait reserves the full right to take all necessary measures to maintain its security and defend its territory and vital facilities against any aggression or threat."
