4 Israeli Reservists Moderately Wounded in Drone Strike in Southern Lebanon; Sirens Sound in Metula and Misgav Am

The "ceasefire" in the north continues: four IDF reservists were moderately wounded after an explosive drone struck in southern Lebanon. At the same time, alerts were activated in Metula and Misgav Am. Metula Local Council head David Azoulay blasted the situation: "Even this morning, Metula’s children and parents went out to schools under nonstop fire."

The IDF Spokesperson announced this morning (Sunday) that four IDF soldiers serving in the reserves were moderately wounded during operational activity in southern Lebanon. The incident occurred after an explosive drone launched at the force struck them directly.

The soldiers were injured to varying degrees as a result of the blast, received initial medical treatment at the scene, and were then evacuated by medical teams for further treatment at a hospital.

At the same time, sirens were activated this morning in the communities of Metula and Misgav Am over fears of a hostile aircraft infiltration. Shortly after the alerts, the IDF Spokesperson released a statement clarifying that a suspicious aerial target had been identified in the area where IDF forces are operating in southern Lebanon.

The military said in a statement: "Following the alerts activated a short while ago regarding a hostile aircraft infiltration in the areas of Metula and Misgav Am, a suspicious aerial target was identified in the area where IDF forces are operating in southern Lebanon. The incident has ended, and there are no casualties. Alerts were activated in accordance with policy."

The IDF emphasized that the drone was not launched toward Israeli territory, but rather toward the area where IDF forces are operating in southern Lebanon.

Metula Local Council head David Azoulay responded to the events: "They keep telling us there is a ceasefire, but even this morning, Metula’s children and parents went out to schools under nonstop fire. After a loud night of explosions and aircraft, we woke up again this morning to a series of interceptions and sirens over a drone infiltration just as the children were supposed to leave for school. Apparently, someone in the Israeli government thinks this is normal and reasonable, that this is what a ceasefire looks like."
