The IDF Spokesperson announced this morning (Monday) that over the weekend, the IDF carried out two separate strikes in the northern Gaza Strip and killed two senior members of the Hamas terror organization.
In the first strike, Ahmad Munir Khalil Zaza, the engineering officer of the Western Jabalia Battalion in the Gaza City area, was killed. Zaza served as one of the battalion’s key figures in everything related to the production and supply of weapons. His role included manufacturing and distributing weapons among the various companies, as well as direct responsibility for building explosive devices and booby-trapped houses.
Recently, Zaza had attempted to plant explosive devices near the Yellow Line in order to harm IDF forces operating in the area.
In another strike, Hussein Safadi, commander of Hamas’ sniper network in Gaza City, was killed. The IDF said that throughout the war, Safadi was responsible for sniper attack plans against IDF forces in the Gaza City area, and in recent months had been working to train operatives and advance additional sniper attacks. It was also stated that he had systematically violated the ceasefire agreement.
