The IDF is continuing its operation to destroy underground infrastructure in northern Gaza. As part of activity in the area, Northern Brigade forces and engineering forces destroyed an underground route measuring a mile and a half, the IDF Spokesperson said today (Tuesday).

The activity is taking place in the area east of the Yellow Line, as part of efforts to clear northern Gaza of terrorist infrastructure. The forces operating in the area belong to the Northern Brigade, which operates under Division 99, with Southern Command engineering forces also taking part in the operation.

During operations on the ground, the forces located the underground route. It was then destroyed through cooperation between the brigade forces and the division's engineering forces. As noted, the route was a mile and a half long.

The operation is part of the IDF's ongoing activity against underground infrastructure remaining in the area. The military said its forces continue operating in northern Gaza to clear the area of terrorist infrastructure and remove immediate threats.

Alongside the operational activity, IDF forces under Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the framework established under the ceasefire agreement.

The IDF stressed that activity in the area will continue in accordance with operational needs. The IDF Spokesperson's statement said: "IDF forces under Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement framework and will continue operating to remove any immediate threat."
