Many times, when we find ourselves trapped in a long, painful problem, and after endless effort, worry, and disappointment, we eventually reach a point of exhaustion. Out of despair, we decide to let go, give up, and move on with life. And then, almost miraculously, the solution appears.
The more a person clings tightly to their problem, the more anxious and desperate they become. Ironically, this only pushes the solution further away. The issue grows more complicated, and the light at the end of the tunnel seems to vanish.
The Secret: Shifting Focus From the Problem to the Solution
How can we stop obsessing over problems that follow us daily, such as unemployment, loneliness, parenting struggles, or marriage tension? It’s not about ignoring reality, but rather, redirecting our focus.
When we stop dwelling on the problem and instead visualize the solution, something changes. Our mindset shifts from stress to serenity. We begin to feel hope, faith, and trust that everything will work out.
Once we genuinely believe that God can and will help us, we create space for the blessing to appear. Faith opens channels that fear keeps closed.
A Parable: The Poor Man and the Precious Stone
A story is told about a wealthy man who lost all his money. Desperate, he decided to seek help from a rich friend. But when he reached the friend’s mansion, the guards refused him entry because he looked poor.
He sat outside for hours waiting, hungry and heartbroken. At sunset, one of the servants emptied the garbage from the window — and it fell right on his head. Disgusted and humiliated, he got up to leave. As he brushed off the trash, he suddenly noticed a glittering gemstone among the waste. It was worth a fortune.
He became rich again overnight.
Months later, when his luck turned once more, he went back to the same place, sat by the fence, and waited for another “miracle.” But nothing happened.
Another beggar passing by asked what he was doing. The man told him his story. The beggar replied: “Last time, you weren’t expecting anything — and that’s why you received it. This time, you’re sitting here waiting for it to happen, and that’s why it won’t.”
Salvation comes when we stop waiting for it. Only when a person truly lets go — when the mind and heart relax, does the miracle unfold.
The Talmudic Principle: Don’t Force the Moment
The Talmud teaches: “Whoever forces the moment, the moment pushes him away; but whoever yields to the moment, the moment yields to him.” (Berachot 64a)
This profound truth reveals a spiritual law: When we demand immediate results — insisting that life obey our timeline, we actually block the flow of blessing. When we trust God’s timing and accept that everything unfolds according to His plan, He brings our salvation at exactly the right moment.
Patience and faith are not passive — they are powerful acts of alignment with divine order.
The Miracle of Letting Go
T. Slovitzky from Rishon LeZion shares her experience: “Five years after my wedding, I still hadn’t conceived. We visited countless doctors, underwent every possible treatment, but nothing helped. Finally, one specialist told me, ‘I’m sorry, but your chances of having a biological child are extremely low.’
I was crushed. Then I joined a positive-thinking workshop that taught me to stop focusing on my problem and instead imagine the outcome I longed for. Every day, I visualized myself in the hospital, holding my baby, surrounded by flowers and family. I felt peace and faith like never before. Shortly afterward, I became pregnant — and nine months later, I gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Even the doctors called it a medical miracle.”
Her breakthrough came only after she stopped obsessing and began to trust.

“For Your Salvation We Hope All Day”
The Chida (Rabbi Chaim Yosef David Azulai) explains that this prayer — “For Your salvation we have hoped and waited all day”, applies not only to the coming of Mashiach but also to each person’s personal redemption.
Every one of us can experience salvation in our own life, by learning to hope, believe, and let go.
How to Bring Salvation Closer
Pray and speak it aloud.
Use the power of speech to connect with God. Express your desires clearly and sincerely.Think positively.
Stop replaying the problem in your mind. Focus on the desired outcome.Visualize success.
Picture the moment your prayer is fulfilled. Feel the joy and peace of that reality.Cultivate calm and trust.
Faith and serenity open the door to miracles. Stress and fear shut it tight.
As the Torah says, “And you shall know this day and bring it to your heart.” (Devarim 4:39) To truly bring faith into the heart, we must strengthen our thoughts, words, and imagination — filling them with goodness, trust, and peace.
When we do, salvation can come in the blink of an eye.
