May One Wear Slippers When Praying or Putting Tefillin?
Question
Hello, esteemed Rabbi. Is it permissible for us to pray or putting tefillin while wearing slippers? Or are we required to wear closed shoes?

Hello and blessings
It is permissible to put tefillin with any footwear. However, when reciting the Amidah prayer, one should wear respectable footwear as if one were going before an important person.
