How Much Should One Give for the Redemption of Kaparot?

Hello, esteemed Rabbi. I wanted to ask, how much money should one give for the redemption of Kaparot - the redemption of the soul? And is it permissible to give this from ma'aser (tithes)?

One should aim to give the price of a chicken - 20/30 shekels. At least part of the money should not come from ma'aser funds.
