Verification of the Separation After Sunset
Question
Greetings, esteemed Rabbi,
This evening, my wife needed to perform a verification of the separation, but due to several commitments, she only remembered a few minutes after sunset.
Immediately, she proceeded to conduct the verification, and subsequently, the separation results were found to be valid.
Is this verification kosher to allow for the beginning of the counting of the seven clean days tomorrow?

Dear Sir,
According to the opinion of most poskim, in the Land of Israel, a verification of the separation after sunset is not valid. However, the opinion of Rav Ovadiah Yosef zt"l is that it is permissible retroactively until 13 and a half minutes after sunset. Therefore, if you follow his rulings, she may consider this verification of the separation acceptable. If not, she should begin anew tomorrow.
Sources: In the book Tallei Taharah (Chapter 5, Note 30), it is brought from the Chut Shani, Rabbi Yeshayahu Elyashiv, Rabbi Shmuel Wozner, and Rabbi Ben Tzion Abba Shaul zt"l, that in the Land of Israel, one should not be lenient regarding the separation after sunset. The opinion of Rav Ovadiah Yosef zt"l can be found in his book, Hilchot Olam, Part 5 (Page 58).
