Is a Fish Head Required for Rosh Hashanah?

Hello, I would like to ask if it is permissible to use something other than a fish head on the eve of Rosh Hashanah. Thank you and Shana Tova

Dear Sir or Madam,
It is preferable to use a head of a ram or a sheep. If that is not available, one may use a head of a bird (Shortened Shulchan Aruch, Yalkut Yosef, Siman 581, Section 12).
