Where Do Chazal Refer to This World as 'Alma D'Shikra'?
Question
Shalom to the esteemed rabbi,
I would like to know where in the source Chazal referred to our world as "Alma D'Shikra," where does this appear?
Thank you in advance,
Avi
Answer
Greetings,
Apparently, the phrase is based on the words of the holy Zohar (Parashat Vayeshev, page 136a) that refers to the World to Come as "Alma D'Keshuta," meaning the world of truth. From this principle, you hear that this world is referred to as "Alma D'Shikra."
