What Does It Mean to See a Shofar in a Dream?

Most dreams today do not hold much significance; however, seeing a shofar in a dream is sometimes a good sign. As stated in Yalkut Shimoni (Isaiah 27:13), one who sees a shofar in a dream should expect salvation, as it is said (Isaiah 27:13) "And it will be on that day that a great shofar will be blown."

Moreover, it is said in Tractate Berakhot (56b) that one who sees a shofar in a dream should rise early and say, "And it will be on that day that a great shofar will be blown" (referring to the gathering of exiles in the future, so that the interpretation of the dream will be positive), before mentioning another verse (Hosea 5:8) "Blow the shofar in Gibeah" (which speaks of calling the people to fight against the enemy, where the interpretation of the dream could be negative).
