Is it permissible for a pregnant woman to enter a cemetery?
Question
Is it permissible for a woman who is pregnant to enter a cemetery?
Answer
Shalom,
Let us briefly explain the matter of entering a cemetery: This place is associated with the spirit of impurity, and there are harmful entities and types of impurity that linger there, therefore it is advisable to limit visits to cemeteries as much as possible.
Women, by their nature, are more sacred and more susceptible to impurity and purity; these Kelipot (spiritual shells) tend to attach themselves to them, so it is preferable for a woman to avoid visiting the cemetery as much as possible (except on established memorial days when there are traditions to visit).
During the menstrual cycle and during pregnancy, it is especially important to refrain from going to the cemetery.
It is important to mention that this does not include the graves of the righteous. In that case, there is no issue in going to the Tzadik's grave. Therefore, there is no difference whether the woman is pregnant or not in that case.
