Is it Permitted to Apply Perfume on Shabbat?

On Shabbat and holidays - is there a prohibition against applying perfume?

Hello,
It is permitted to spray perfume on the body on Shabbat (see Mishnah Berurah 252:23, Responsa Yabia Omer Volume 6, Section Orach Chayim 36, and Responsa Yechave Da'at Volume 1, Section 34 and Volume 6, Section 25, citing the word "however"), but it is prohibited on clothing (see Mishnah Berurah 302:18, Responsa Yabia Omer and Yechave Da'at Volume 1, there).
