Is it permissible to sleep with socks at night (because it is cold)?

Greetings,
One who sleeps with shoes experiences a taste of death (see Tractate Yoma 18b, and cited in halacha by Ben Ish Chai, Year 2, Parashat Pinchas, Section 16, and in Kaf Hachaim, Yoreh De'ah, Section 116, Section 251). However, there is no concern regarding sleeping with socks.
