How many clean days must one count after giving birth to a baby boy in order to immerse in the mikvah?

After the bleeding has completely ceased {and at least seven days after the birth}, one should perform a hefsek taharah and count seven clean days before immersing.
For most women, this takes about 6-8 weeks.
