Is it Permissible for a Secular Person Who Does Not Observe Shabbat to Watch Torah Lessons on Shabbat?

AA

Question

I am a secular person who currently does not observe Shabbat. According to halacha, is it permitted to watch Torah lessons on a computer during Shabbat?

Answer

Greetings and blessings,

First, I hope that very soon this question will no longer need to be asked, that this moment will pass, and that you will merit to observe Shabbat properly according to halacha. It is forbidden to listen to any lesson in halacha on Shabbat, as it is forbidden to listen to any other prohibited matter.

With Shabbat blessings, Benjamin Shmueli
