What is meant when it is said, "May his soul be bound in the bundle of life"? Thank you.

This phrase appears in I Samuel 25.
"And the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the Lord your God." This is explained in the Gemara, Tractate Shabbat 132b.
It states: Rabbi Eliezer says, the souls of the righteous are stored beneath the Throne of Glory, as it is said, "May the soul of my lord be bound in the bundle of life."
