Regarding the Laws of Blessings
Question
Shalom, honorable Rabbi. What blessing is recited over "Oreo" with white coating? When a Kohen ascends to the platform and there is no Levite, how should he wash his hands?
Answer
Shalom and blessings. It seems to me that these are cookies made from flour, and therefore their blessing is "Mezonot." If there is no Levite, a firstborn (Bchor) should wash their hands; if there is no firstborn, the Kohen should wash his own hands.
