Is it Permissible to Use Laser Hair Removal?

Women are permitted to remove hair by laser; however, men should refrain, as it is considered a woman’s method of hair removal, and thus falls under the prohibition (Deuteronomy 22:5) "A man shall not wear a woman’s garment." There are those who have written leniently to allow removal of hair on parts of the body where it is bothersome using laser treatment, since this practice has become widespread nowadays even among the nations of the world, and therefore it is not solely a woman’s custom (Shu’t HaRishon LeTziyon, Part I, Yoreh De’ah Section 10).
