Fasting from Speech on Yom Kippur

Shalom, is it permitted to undertake a fast from speech on Yom Kippur? If so, what may one say during this fast?

It is a great merit to refrain at all times, and especially on the holy and sanctified day of Yom Kippur, from any idle speech that is not Torah, prayer, or praise to Hashem.
