Is it Permissible to Eat Meat During the Three Weeks?

Question

Is it permissible to eat meat during the Three Weeks?

Answer

Greetings,

It is permitted to eat meat until Rosh Chodesh Av, including Rosh Chodesh Av. However, after Rosh Chodesh Av until the 10th of Av, including the 10th of Av, it is prohibited to eat meat during these days.

Most Ashkenazi communities refrain from eating meat even on Rosh Chodesh itself.
