Must the name Shaddai be visible when the mezuzah is rolled up?

Hello,
Is there any significance to the letters Shaddai being hidden on a mezuzah because the parchment is rolled up and inserted into the mezuzah case?!

Hello,
This is the custom: the scribes write the Name "Sh-d-y" on the outside of the mezuzah, and it is rolled so that this Name will be fully visible from the outside (Shulchan Aruch and Rama, Yoreh Deah, siman 288, section 15). However, if this was not done, it does not prevent the mitzvah and does not invalidate the mezuzah (Darchei Moshe there, gloss 3).
