Meat and Milk During Pregnancy

AA

Question

Is there a blanket halacha regarding how long one must wait between meat and milk? A co-worker at work said that all pregnant women are allowed to wait only 3 hours. Is that true, and what is the halacha? Thank you

Answer

Hello and blessings,

Pregnant women who need, for health reasons, to eat dairy may be lenient after one hour from the time they ate meat, even when it is not a matter of pikuach nefesh.

With blessings,
