Is it permitted to get a haircut on Thursdays? If not, can one get a haircut on Thursday evening, since it is already considered Friday?

In principle, it is permitted to get a haircut on Thursday night.
Ideally, one should not get a haircut on Thursday, but in cases of great need it is possible to be lenient.
